Trained as an engineer, I have always been curious to understand how things work.

I have been passionnate about leather goods since I met incredible artisans in 2010. I was so touched by the passion that was driving them and their constant quest for perfection when they were giving life to their creations.

In 2018 I was attending a summit on Sustainability and I met with entrepreneurs developping a plant-based alternative to leather. The discussion that followed transformed me, challenging every belief I had on materials and their impact on the environment.

From this moment on, I have been eager to question the status quo, to understand better and to discover innovative alternatives to existing materials. In 2020, convinced that we could do so much better, I decided to start MAES Paris and to offer to those who shared my convictions a new story, one about uniting French traditional craft and innovations preserving our environment.
